Policies
Centre policies
These are the terms every family accepts at enrolment. They're written to be clear, not long. Questions are welcome.
Enrolment and fees
- Enrolment is a monthly subscription per program: Maths $160, English $160, Opportunity Class $350, Selective $400 per month.
- A $100 enrolment fee is charged per child each year. It covers printing and worksheets and renews on the anniversary of enrolment.
- Books your child keeps are charged at cost when issued. You'll receive a payment link for each one.
- The enrolment fee and the first month are paid at sign-up. The monthly fee is then debited automatically on the same date each month by bank direct debit, PayTo or card, through Stripe.
- The monthly fee is the same every month of the year. It already allows for public holidays and the Christmas closure.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries and emails you. If an account is unpaid after 14 days, your child's place is held but attendance pauses until it is settled.
Cancellation and changes
- There is no lock-in. To end an enrolment, give one month's written notice by email or through your parent account. Billing continues for that month and your child keeps their place until the end date.
- Cancelling a single class (for illness or a school event) releases that session only. Your weekly reservation, enrolment and monthly fee continue unchanged.
- You can change your weekdays or block where places exist, from the following week.
- Adding a program takes effect straight away; the fee is adjusted on your next bill.
Attendance and make-up classes
- Your child's weekdays and block are the same every week and are held for them while the enrolment continues.
- Please let us know before a class if your child can't attend.
- Make-up classes are offered for a child's own absence where a place is free in the same stage that week. They depend on space and availability and are not guaranteed. No make-ups are given for public holidays or the Christmas closure.
- Children arriving late join the class in progress; classes end at the scheduled time.
Holidays and closures
- Classes run through the school holidays.
- The centre is closed on NSW public holidays and for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. Dates are confirmed each year by November.
Child safety, sign-in and pickup
- All GiftED staff hold a current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Children are signed in and out at reception. Primary-aged children are released only to a parent or an adult you have named on your enrolment form. Tell us in writing if someone else will collect your child.
- Please collect your child on time at the end of their class. A late pickup fee applies after a 10-minute grace period and is charged to your account. We will phone you if a child is not collected within 10 minutes.
- Children are supervised by staff while on the premises. Please walk your child to the door and do not leave them outside before the centre opens.
Behaviour and wellbeing
- We expect children to be kind, to listen, and to let others learn. Tutors manage small issues in class.
- If a concern continues, we will talk with you so we can work on it together. In rare cases where a child's behaviour puts others at risk, we may ask that they take a break from the centre.
- If you ever have a concern about your child's experience, speak to Miss Sara directly.
Illness
- Please keep your child home if they have a fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, or a contagious condition, until they have been well for 24 hours.
- Tell us about allergies, medical conditions and medications on the enrolment form, and keep us updated.
Privacy
- We collect only the information needed to teach, bill and keep your child safe: names, contact details, school year, and relevant medical information.
- Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We never see your full card or bank numbers.
- We don't sell or share your information. Your child's progress records are shared only with you.
- Ask us at any time to see or correct the information we hold.
Photos and media
- We never photograph or film a child for our website, social media or advertising without your written consent, which you can give or withdraw on the enrolment form at any time.
These policies may be updated. Enrolled families are told of any change by email at least one month before it applies.
